Finally, the Court issued an order finding that all matters regarding the liquidation of TPAC have been finalized and effective immediately following the final distribution, the TPAC liquidation estate is closed and the TPAC

The Ohio Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association has updated its website with this important information for TPAC policyholders:
“Under group health insurance policies, OLHIGA will keep the health insurance coverage in force, if premiums are paid, for a period of 45 days after the liquidation order, unless your policy terminates before that time under its terms. Coverage
for TPAC policies will expire, at the latest, at 11:59 pm on October 2, 2009. Your policy will also terminate automatically at the time you obtain any replacement coverage.”
PAY YOUR TPAC PREMIUM THROUGH SEPTEMBER, 2009 OR UNTIL YOU GET REPLACEMENT COVERAGE.

** IMPORTANT **
TPAC in Liquidation continues to collect premium. Do not stop payment on your premium for August 2009. If a group insured/policyholder does not remit its August premium, its insurance coverage will terminate effective July 31, 2009 and there will not be any guaranty fund coverage. In addition, claims
will not be paid for dates of service on or after August 1, 2009 and any claims that have already been paid for dates of service on or after August 1, 2009 will need to be repaid to TPAC in liquidation.
On August 18, 2009, The Physicians Assurance Corporation ("TPAC") was placed in liquidation by the Franklin County, Ohio, Court of Common Pleas.
Mary Jo Hudson, Superintendent of Insurance, was appointed as Liquidator. The Liquidation Order was agreed and consented to by the Board of Directors
of TPAC, and was prompted by the financially hazardous condition of TPAC.
Under the Liquidaton Order, the Liquidator will take control of TPAC's assets, property, and operations and will administer the company under the guidelines
of the Ohio Revised Code, and under the supervision of the Liquidation Court.
Policies of insurance issued by TPAC are still in force and the insurance guaranty assocation will step in to provide health insurance protection on covered
and unpaid claims up to its statutory cap and coverage limits as long as policyholders pay their premium. However, claims payments may be delayed.
TPAC policies will likely be cancelled in the next 30-45 days, so individuals and businesses that are currently insured through TPAC are strongly encouraged
to call their broker or agent to find new coverage with a financially sound health insurance company.
Pursuant to the Court Order, providers must continue to provide authorized or covered services for the contract period.
