IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL REMAINING POLICYHOLDERS, AGENTS, AND CREDITORS
On June 24, 2008, the Court of Common Pleas of Franklin County, Ohio, APPROVED the Rehabilitator's Motion For Approval of Modified Rehabilitation Plan for Colonial through approval of an Assumption Reinsurance Agreement, concerning the sale of Colonial's entire remaining block of convalescent care and miscellaneous policies to Central United Life Insurance Company. ORDER Approving Modified Rehabilitation Plan For Colonial Insurance Company Through Approval Of Assumption Reinsurance Agreement.
As a result of the Court's Order and regulatory approval, EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2008, Central United Life Insurance Company will succeed Colonial as the insurer of the remaining convalescent care and miscellaneous policies, and will be fully responsible for servicing and administering the Policies in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Agreement and the Policies. All remaining policyholders will receive a Certificate of Assumption from Central United, along with instructions for submitting claims and premium due under their policies on and after July 1, 2008.
