| What Is A Description Of State And Local Government Claim? |
| |
Claims owing any state or local governments for employment, income, premium or other taxes and claims are treated as follows. The claims of any state or local government have a much lower priority as a Class 6 claim, so they are entitled to be paid only after all claims in class 1 through 5 are paid in full. To the extent that a state or local government claim is related to a penalty or forfeiture, and is not for pecuniary loss sustained, that portion of the claim is relegated to a Class 9 claim.
To register to participate in a distribution, if any, a claimant should timely file a Proof of Claim in the liquidation proceeding on an approved Proof of Claim form. |

Your claim may not be adequately described above. The
facts and circumstances surrounding a claim may affect the handling and
treatment of any claim. Any party
affected by an insurance company liquidation may want to seek the advice of
experienced legal counsel to advise them of their rights and remedies.
